Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 28-year-old Timothy Alan Logue on charges of drunken driving, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, harassment and assault on a police officer at 1:18 a.m. Tuesday on Ferry Way downtown. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.


• Police arrested a 46-year-old man on assault charges at 4:14 p.m. Monday in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive. They lodged him at the state prison.


• A purse containing a personal digital music device was reported stolen at 12:32 p.m. Monday in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway in the Jordan Creek area.

• A fanny pack containing identification, a passport, credit cards and cash was reported stolen at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of Trout Street near the airport.

• Four tires were reported stolen at 8:41 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of West Ninth Street downtown.

• A red 1995 Ford Mustang was reported stolen at 11:02 a.m. Tuesday in the 8500 block of Airport Boulevard downtown.

Vehicle accident:

• A 48-year-old man reported at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday that a vehicle he was driving struck a parked Dodge Durango near 11th and D streets downtown.

Animal encounters:

• At 8:41 a.m. Tuesday a bear was reported to have been getting into garbage in the 600 block of Main Street for previous two days. A bear also was reported getting into trash at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday in the 6700 block of Gray Street in the Douglas area. On Monday bears were reported at 5:36 p.m. near Ninth Street and Capitol Avenue downtown, at 6:07 p.m. in the 1600 block of Glacier Highway near downtown, at 10:10 p.m. in the 300 block of Fifth Street downtown, at 10:16 p.m. in the 2800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road and at 10:56 p.m. in the Twin Lakes area.
