Donald Chapman, of Juneau, a Blackhawk helicopter crew chief from Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 207th Aviation Regiment out of Anchorage, during a recent trip to meet deployed troops. As a crew chief, Chapman is responsible for the overall maintenance of the helicopter to include, complicated systems such as hydraulic, engine, navigation and structural. He is deployed to Forward Operating Base Sykes in Tall Afar, Iraq. Chapman is the son of Ron and Pamela Chapman. His wife of six years, Lynn, said she is proud of her husband's accomplishments and looks forward to his return to home and family.
