Terminal expansion causes loading changes at airport

JUNEAU - Construction work continues on Juneau International Airport terminal expansion.

Vehicle access to the terminal along Shell Simmons Drive is on an unpaved area near the main airport entrance. Drivers are asked to use caution in the unpaved construction zone.

There is no loading or unloading in the construction area adjacent to the fencing in the dirt roadway in front of the main terminal entrance, airport management said in a public service announcement.

Airport management asks that travelers use short term parking and the limited drop-off zone at the north end of the building. The drop-off zone is the first entrance as the airport is approached. The first 15 minutes of short term parking are free.

Airport management thanks the public for its continued patience during the project.
