Domestic violence:
At 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested a 16-year-old boy in the 8500 block of Mendenhall Loop Road for domestic violence assault and lodged him at the Johnson Youth Center, while also arresting a 60-year-old man for interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime. The man was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Theft:
Police received a report of the theft of a gas can from a 1983 Chevrolet pickup at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
At 7:46 p.m. Wednesday, a 57-year-old man reported the theft of an unspecified amount of electricity in the 9000 block of Long Run Drive.
A 54-year-old man reported at 9:09 a.m. Thursday that someone stole a $3,400 stereo system from his 1998 Jeep in the 4700 block of North Douglas Highway.
Vandalism:
Police reported $1,000 in damage to a railing and door at a cabin in the 2900 block of Riverside Drive at 11:11 a.m. Thursday.
Vehicle accidents:
A 40-year-old man reported at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday that his 2001 Chevy Silverado had been struck by an unknown vehicle on Auke Bay Harbor Road.
Police cited a 19-year-old woman for failing to maintain a safe distance after the 1986 BMW that she drove struck a 1997 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 59-year-old woman at 5:50 p.m. on outbound Egan Drive at Vanderbilt Hill Road. The BMW sustained $3,000 in damage, while the Jeep sustained $500.
At 8:52 a.m. Thursday, a 40-year-old man reported that his 1997 GMC Safari had been struck by an unknown vehicle on Mendenhall Loop Road.
Traffic stop:
A 26-year-old woman was cited and released for driving without a license at 3:46 p.m. Wednesday on Douglas Highway at Cordova Street.
Lost property:
A 35-year-old woman reported losing a Black Hills gold pinkie ring, valued at $500, at 10:04 a.m. Thursday in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard.
Found property:
A 31-year-old man reported finding an orange and silver bicycle at 2:01 a.m. Thursday in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.
Animal encounters:
Police reported a bear getting into garbage in the 15900 block of Glacier Highway at 7:07 a.m. Thursday.
