Organization description: St. Vincent de Paul provides monetary assistance, food, clothing, housing, childcare and family support services to the needy throughout Southeast Alaska.

Years of service: 22 years in Juneau; 175 years internationally.

Volunteer positions available: Volunteers are needed for child care, family support and assistance at the thrift store. St. Vincent de Paul is also interested in volunteers who have recently retired from professional positions and can lend their management expertise - legal services, computer work and office management skills are needed.

Background check/prerequisites: Background check required if working directly with children in Family Champion program.

In-kind/material donations needed: Construction and repair materials, hand tools, help with oil changes, landscaping, painting and graphic arts and brochure work.
