Angela Becker and Dean Hansen were married on June 30 at the Anchorage Courthouse, by civil ceremony.

Angela and Dean met through friends in 1996 and started a long courtship in 1999. Dean proposed next to the Christmas tree in December 2005.
Angela Becker is the daughter of Jean Becker, of Indiana, and Aaron Turner, of Alabama. In 2004, she graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Arts in social work, and in spring of 2007, she will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She has a 10-year-old daughter, Tatijana. She enjoys camping, road trips, hiking, hunting, fishing, and training and showing dogs.
Dean is the son of Lucille and Roy Hansen, of Seldovia, Alaska. He has lived and worked in Juneau and Anchorage. In 1978, he graduated from Susan B. English High School in Seldovia. He has three sons, Joshua, Douglas and Derek; and two daughters, Georgia and Gwendolyn. He enjoys camping, backgammon, poker, fishing and animals.
The couple said the wedding was a simple, casual and quiet ceremony, with Dean's brother, Todd Hansen, and close friend, James Alurac, as witnesses.
The honeymoon will be celebrated in the near future.
