ANCHORAGE - The state Department of Fish and Game has issued an emergency closure order for upper Cook Inlet drift gillnetters.

The agency also closed commercial salmon fishing in the Kenai, Kasilof, and East Forelands sections in upper Cook Inlet.

Monday's closure comes amid sockeye returns that are weaker than forecast.
