Shame on you, Juneau Empire, for the skimpy coverage you gave the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life held July 19-20 at Dimond Park. One black and white picture on page two to cover an event that lasted 15 hours and had over 300 relay walkers and volunteers? And where was your photographer when 596 luminaria candles were lit at midnight in honor of survivors and those in the community who lost their battle with cancer?
Where was the story celebrating over $36,000 raised in the community for cancer research?
Are "fun runs" the only way to get local coverage?
