Moved by the tragedy of the events and affects of the Gulf Coast BP oil spill, "Deadliest Catch" Captain Wild Bill Wichrowski of the F/V Kodiak has announced he is seeking to hire a Gulf Coast resident affected by the oil spill qualified to join his crew to fish the 2010 king crab season.
"This not a contest," states Wild Bill in his YouTube statement, "...this is the real deal. This is basically a job interview with a little bit of a switch to it."
Wild Bill goes on to say he hopes his new greenhorn will work out well enough to stay on to become a part of his crew and family up in Alaska.
Prospective applicants have until Aug. 20 to apply. They should be at least 20, and should include work history, references, personal photo and a short paragraph on how they were affected by the BP oil spill.
Applications should be mailed to Capt Wild Bill c/o Peter Pan Seafoods PO Box 1027 Valdez, AK, 99686.
