Margaret Alma (Tremaine) Elkinton, 76, former Juneau resident, died July 26, 2010 in Juneau.
She was born April 8, 1934, in Buena Vista, Colo. to Dodd and Mildred Tremaine. She graduated from Rocky Ford High School and attended Colorado Springs Bible College where she met William Henry Elkinton, Jr. They were married April 8, 1955, and had five children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dodd Tremaine; son, William H. "Hank" Elkinton III; and daughter, Camilla Joy Elkinton, and husband of 55 years, William Henry Elkinton, Jr..
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Frazier of Lenexa, Kan.; daughters, Jan Cummins of Juneau, Kay Austin of Greenback, Tenn., and Pamela Verebasaga of Juneau; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Dodd Tremaine of Tacoma, Wash., and Jim Tremaine of Lenexa, Kan., and two sisters, Joanne Beckhart of Puyallup, Wash. and Pat Adamson of Colorado Springs, Colo.
A service to commemorate her life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Juneau Church of the Nazarene.
