ANCHORAGE - A man arrested by Homer police has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.
U.S. Attorney Karen L. Loeffler said Wednesday that Homer police found a pistol along with almost 10 grams of marijuana in Daniel Aaron Cox's vehicle on Nov. 15. Police had tracked him down after he tried to sell marijuana to a woman in a grocery store parking lot.
The 25-year-old man from Anchor Point pleaded guilty before Chief U.S. District Court Judge John W. Sedwick.
