KODIAK - Superintendent Stewart McDonald had his contract renewed by the Kodiak Island Borough School District.
McDonald will enter his second year as superintendent of the district, where he has worked for 11 years in a variety of positions, including special education instructor, grant administrator and assistant superintendent.
The school board said it wants McDonald to implement a technology plan to boost student learning and use stimulus money without increasing the district budget. Another goal is to improve communication between the district and the community.
