Help clear one of Kruzof Island's most spectacular beaches of harmful marine debris on a work expedition to Sea Lion Cove sponsored by Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies and NOAA Marine Debris Program. Hop on an Allan Marine boat to Kalinin Bay and hike 2.5 miles to the beach, spend the afternoon cleaning, then hike and boat back to town. The trip will take depart Monday, Aug. 9 at 8 a.m. and return by 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Old Harbor Books. Space is very limited. Got your own boat to bring?
