Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A man, 28, was arrested for domestic violence assault at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday downtown. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vehicle accidents:

• A Ford van driven by a man, 33, hit a Subaru Legacy driven by a woman, 31, on Old Dairy Road at 8:32 a.m. Tuesday. The front end of the van sustained about $100 damage and the rear passenger side of the Subaru sustained about $1,000 damage.

• A 1998 black Ford Explorer driven by a man, 50, struck a 1993 green Dodge driven by a woman, 51, at 12:09 p.m. Tuesday on Mendenhall Loop Road and Chauncie Court. The Explorer suffered minor damage.


• A man, 30, reported at 1:11 p.m. Tuesday the theft of a blue four-wheel pedal go-cart from B Street in Juneau. The value of the go-cart is estimated at $700.

• A man reported at 6:13 p.m. Tuesday that his electrical adapter, used to connect a boat with shore power, was stolen from Harris Harbor.

Underage drinking:

• A man, 18, was cited at 2 a.m. Tuesday near Egan Drive and the McNugget intersection for underage driving after drinking. He was released and the vehicle was impounded.

Hit and run:

• A man, 52, reported at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday that his parked Chrysler vehicle on Marine Way was hit by an unknown vehicle. The Chrysler sustained about $500 damage to the rear passenger side.

• A man, 62, reported at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday that his parked 1985 Chevrolet on Jerry Drive was struck by another vehicle.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Tuesday at 10:38 a.m. on West 10th Street in Juneau, at 10:57 a.m. on Fifth Street in Juneau, at 11:09 a.m. on Calhoun Ave., at 11:24 a.m. on Main and Fourth streets, at 2:01 p.m. on Bresee Street and Tongass Boulevard, at 2:35 p.m. on Fifth Street in Douglas, at 6:03 p.m. on Fifth Street in Juneau, at 8:14 p.m. on Calhoun Ave., at 8:21 p.m. on Willoughby Ave., at 9:16 p.m. on Sixth and Franklin streets, at 9:40 p.m. on Fourth Street in Juneau and at 11:41 p.m. on Second Street in Douglas.

• Bears were reported today at 12:05 a.m. on Pt. Louisa Road, at 12:06 a.m. on South Franklin Street, at 12:07 a.m. on Fourth and Gold streets, at 12:35 a.m. on South Franklin Street, at 12:38 a.m. on Fourth Street in Juneau, and at 3:10 a.m. on Glacier Highway near Lemon Creek.


• A man, 38, was cited at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on Willoughby Avenue for driving while his license was suspended. He was released.

Domestic violence calls: 1.

Alcohol-related calls: 0.

Crime Line

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for stealing a motorcycle from the Harris Harbor parking lot about June 28. The motorcycle is described as a blue and white Suzuki DR350S, license plate 4068ML. It is valued at $1,000.
