Former Juneau resident Shannon Sue (Collum) Ritter died July 22, 2007, in her Renton, Wash., home. She was 42.

Born Shannon Sue Collum on June 3, 1965, to Richard and Carol Collum, she moved to Juneau in 1972 and attended school there. She graduated from Phagan's Beauty School in Milwaukie, Ore., and was a hairstylist for many years. She and her family relocated to Renton in 1995.
Above all things, she loved her children; they were the focus of her life, said family. She will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Claude and Nadina Robinson of Walla Walla, Wash., Virginia Thornton, formerly of Juneau, and Bob Collum of Washington.
She is survived by her husband, Russell Ritter of Renton; children, Daimian West of Juneau, Daniel Untalasco of Renton, Miranda Untalasco of Juneau,and Spencer Untalasco of Juneau; parents, of Walla Walla; brother, Chris Collum and his wife, Kathi, and their family, of Juneau; grandfather, Richard Thornton of Everett; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
At her request, no services were held.
