Former Juneau resident Norman L. Miller died suddenly and unexpectedly on July 26, 2008, in Seminole County, Fla. He was 56.
He was an elder of the Willow Creek Presbyterian Church in Winter Springs, Fla., a retired battalion chief of the Anchorage Fire Department and a retired division chief of the Seminole County Fire Rescue Division in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Joann Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Chris Miller; sons, Shawn and Robbie Miller; siblings, PJ Karpstein and her husband, Tom, of Juneau, David Miller-VanPelt and his spouse, Reginald, of Palm Springs, Calif., Michael Miller, of Juneau, Cindy Miller, of Oregon City, Ore., and Dianna Lenfestey and her husband, Tom, of Palmer; nieces and nephews, Heather Karpstein, Nicolette, Daniel and Justin Miller, and Michelle and Stephen Lenfestey.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Willow Creek Presbyterian Church in Winter Springs, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
