Warren James Spaulding
Former Juneau resident Warren James Spaulding died July 27, 2000, in a car accident on the Parks Highway.
He was born Nov. 24, 1953, in Aspen, Colo., to Ferne and Lester Spaulding.
After graduating from high school, he worked in the downhill ski industry and competed in numerous rodeos as a bull rider. He moved to Juneau in 1988 and worked at the Greens Creek Mine. He also worked at the Echo Bay Mines in Washington but returned to Alaska in 1996 to help out with his wife's parents' family business. Most recently, he was employed by Service Oil and Gas in Talkeetna.
He loved his home in Alaska and was an avid fisherman, hunter, snowmachiner and gardener. He also loved spending time with his children and enjoyed organizing gatherings and trips with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Spaulding.
He is survived by his wife Robin Jenne and daughters Fern Rose and Robin Carol of Talkeetna; daughter Danielle; mother Ferne Spaulding; brothers Mark and Mike Spaulding; sisters Leslie Reiner and Lisa Gagne; and numerous nephews and nieces all of Colorado.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Talkeetna Christian Center.
