Former Sitka resident Marilyn Sue Hathaway Davis died July 29, 2007, at Hospice House. She was 73.

The Missouri native lived most of her life with her husband in Alaska and Washington before moving to Savannah, Ga., in 2000, to be near her family. She was a member of The Huntingdon Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cmdr. Weymond "Bud" Davis, retired from the U.S. Coast Guard.
She is survived by her son, Curtis Davis of Savannah; cousins, Teresa Powell, Patty Carswell and Norma Judkins, all of Savannah; and an aunt, Mary Bob Barb, of Illinois.
Funeral services will be at a later date in Sitka National Cemetery in Sitka.
