A special dedication: Bob Cartmill and family

The 63rd Golden North Salmon Derby is dedicated to Bob Cartmill for his 41 years of service to the derby with the loyal support of his entire family.

"If we didn't have him, there wouldn't be a derby," said Golden North co-chair Susan Listberger.

Cartmill is involved with setting up and taking down the docks and the floats, keeping the ice supplied, hauling fish and much more.

"He's always there every year."
