Food festival deadline approaching

JUNEAU - For backyard gardeners, farmers and businesses and organizations concerned with local food production, the deadline for applications for the second annual Juneau Local Foods Festival is Aug. 6. The Saturday, Aug. 28 event will feature a large farmers market as well as workshops in organic gardening and growing fruits and vegetables in Southeast Alaska.
