Stephen Wilbur Lindoff
Lifetime Hoonah resident Stephen Wilbur Lindoff died July 31, 2000, in a logging accident in Hoonah.
He was born Sept. 13, 1966, in Mount Edgecumbe and baptized in the Pentecostal Church.
He was a graduate of Hoonah High School and Westcoast Training for heavy equipment. He worked as logger for many years and was employed by Whitestone Logging.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with this new son. He was a member of the Hoonah ANB Camp No. 12.
He was preceded in death by his father Wilbur Lindoff, aunt Mary Joanne Johnson and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his mother Jennie Lindoff; sister Cathy Lindoff; nieces Roxanne and Suzanne Lindoff; girlfriend Crow Smith; son Stephen Aaron Smith-Lindoff; aunts Eva Davis and Esther Kaze; and uncle Wilbur W. James Sr., all of Hoonah; uncle John Lindoff of Juneau and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be William Sanders, Sam Willard Sr., Bernard Wolfe, Thomas James, Wilbur W. James Jr., and Hubert Lindoff.
Honorary pallbearers will be Esther Kaze, Ruth James, John Lindoff, Tony Mills, Buster Davis, Richard Dalton Sr., and Karl Greenwald Sr.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the ANB Hall in Hoonah. The funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday at the same location.
