Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Odessa Anderson, 32, was arrested for drunken driving at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday near Ann Coleman Road and Fritz Cove Road. She was also charged with refusal to take a breathalyzer test and driving without a license. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A woman reported a theft at 7:56 a.m. Wednesday near Taku Boulevard of a portable CD player and a 35mm camera from her unlocked vehicle sometime overnight. The property is valued at $320.

A woman reported a theft at 6:13 a.m. Wednesday near Taku Boulevard of a backpack containing clothing and magazines worth $75 sometime overnight. Also stolen from the unlocked car was a Sony Discman worth $180.

A woman reported at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday near Teel Court the theft of a pair of sunglasses and a jacket from her unlocked car sometime overnight. The items were valued at $115.

A man reported at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday near Fox Farm Trail the theft of a laptop computer and prescription eyeglasses from his locked vehicle. Items are valued at $3,300.

A man reported the theft at 9 p.m. Wednesday near Tongass Boulevard of a green Huffy, 21-speed, mountain bike.

Hit-and-run incidents:

Police responded to a report at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway of a vehicle accident in a parking lot involving a Black Chevrolet and an unknown vehicle. The woman in the Chevrolet said an unknown vehicle struck her car. Estimates of damage are unknown.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday near Mendenhall Loop Road, at 3:49 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway, at 4 p.m. Wednesday near Parkwood Drive, at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near Switzer Village, at 7:06 a.m. Wednesday near Wren Avenue, at 11 p.m. Wednesday near 3rd Street, at 11:53 p.m. near South Franklin Street, at 12:36 a.m. today near David Street, at 2:07 a.m. today near David Street and at 5:24 a.m. today near Kimberly Street.


Police cited a man, 39, at 11:18 a.m. Wednesday near North Douglas Highway for driving with a revoked license. His vehicle was released to a licensed driver. The man was released at the scene.
