Mending after a boat mishap

Posted: Thursday, August 02, 2001

Richard Lyon, a carpenter with Local 2247, works on a damaged finger float on the south end of Aurora Harbor on Wednesday, as Gus Peterson, captain of the Chahunta, watches. Ketchikan-based Amak Towing is handling the repairs caused by the company's 96-foot tug when it pulled away with one line attached to the dock two weeks ago. Peterson was not operating the tug during the mishap.
