Media misses mark

Letter to the editor

Bravo, Lew, you hit one out of the park. While newspapers such as yours and the Juneau Empire are useful in reporting local and regional stories, they do not have the capacity to tell you what is really going on in the world.

Some in the general public are finally wising up to the fact that in publications such as the Washington Post, Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The New York Times there are stories on the front page that are filled with opinion, not facts. The general public sees the editorial slant on the first page and they are sick of it. They see stories buried on page 20 that belong on the front page and they are sick of it.

These publications have major stories dropped in their laps every day and they continue to drop the ball because to report on them would go against their agenda. The same is true for ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN. Does anyone know about the lies of Joe Wilson and Michael Moore, the potentially disastrous security breaches of Sandy Berger, or the United Nations oil-for-food scandal? If you don't, it is because you are reading and watching the loser media.

Michael Kazmac
