Fluoride is aluminum industry's poisonous by-product

Posted: Thursday, August 02, 2007

Fluoride in our water supply is pure and simply poison. Why? Fluoride is the by-product of Alcoa's process of manufacturing aluminum.

Sound off on the important issues at

Back in the early days, executives of Alcoa (formerly the Aluminum Company of America) were looking for a use for the waste produced from aluminum manufacturing. They convinced the government that fluoride should be used as a tooth decay preventative. So the Alcoa people were passing fluoride off as a dental health blessing.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. The Alcoa aluminum plant in Florence, Ala., has been producing this poisonous by-product since the 1960s. Just ask the medical community in this area about fluoride's effect on the work force there. Cancers abound. Fluoride pure and simply is not what your dentist should be promoting in tooth care.
