ANCHORAGE - Prosecutors have charged 45-year-old Kenneth Wahl with first-degree murder in the death of an Anchorage woman on June 23.
Police say Wahl, a convicted murderer on parole, was doing yard work for 47-year-old Elisa Orcutt the last day she was seen alive. Her body was found in her home several days later.
Wahl, who was charged Thursday, was arrested June 25. Investigators have released few details about Orcutt's death, but say they know of no relationship between her and Wahl beyond his working for her.
The Anchorage Daily News reported Wahl was convicted in 1983 of first-degree murder in the death of Edward Delany. He was sentenced to 45 years and was first paroled in 2005.
Since then, he has repeatedly been arrested on parole and probation violations, locked up briefly, then released.
