The Zach Gordon Alumni Fund (ZGAF) will be sponsoring ten youngsters from the Zach Gordon Youth Center for the Carlos Boozer Basketball Camp, to be held in Juneau in August.

The ZGAF was established in 1993 with donations from former teenagers who had been part of Zach's original Teen Age Club, which he operated here from 1946 until his death in 1977. Donations, ranging from ten dollars to a thousand, came in from all over the world. The Zach Gordon Alumni Fund recently expanded to include members of any Juneau-Douglas High School class.

The ZGAF is overseen by a committee of former Teen Age Club "alumni." The money is used to provide something extra, frequently sports related, that the Zach Gordon Youth Center would not have in its budget. Whenever the committee considers use of the Fund's resources, the final question is always "What would Zach do?"

Basketball was a particular love of Zach's and he never missed a high school game. The Carlos Boozer Clinic is an opportunity for the Zach Gordon Alumni Fund to honor Zach and continue his work with local young people.
