...for the funding support
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Juneau would like to thank those who contributed to and attended our exciting fund-raising event on July 8, a Whale Watch cruise aboard a large, fast and comfortable catamaran.
We would like to start by thanking Jim Collins and Allen Marine Tours for donating the entire cost of the cruise. This event would not have been possible without their generous support. The terrific boat and friendly, hard-working crew made the afternoon a memorable one for everyone aboard with lots of wildlife sightings and a great tour. With us that day were captain Winston Warr, engineer Joanna Beedle, naturalist Nitakuwa Barrett and passenger service crew members Jon Hovan, Chelsea Hains and Aaron Jones. A special thanks goes to the Allen family in Sitka for allowing the Juneau crew to provide this experience. Because of Allen Marine Tours and their crew we are able to serve more kids.
Thanks also to Coca Cola of Juneau for providing soda for the cruise and to Matthew Turner for donating the production and printing costs of the tickets and publicity posters.
This year's Whale Watch was a great success. A big thanks to everyone who attended.
