Nelson, Bochat to marry

Jonathan E. Nelson of Napersville, Ill., and Collette M. Bochat of Milwaukee announce their engagement and upcoming marriage on Oct. 27 at St. Josaphat Basilica Church in Milwaukee.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mary Jane and Allen Lee Bochat of Milwaukee. She is a benefits advisor for Guardian Life Insurance in Milwaukee.

The groom-elect is the son of Charles E. Nelson Jr. and Mary Nelson of Juneau. He is a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering and is employed as an electrical engineer at Lucent Technologies in Illinois. He is also working on a master's degree at North Central College in Illinois.

Hamilton, Heese marry


Ruth Hamilton and Allan Heese, both of Juneau, were married on June 2 in a ceremony at the Log Chapel at Chapel by the Lake. A reception immediately followed at the chapel's Smith Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Charles and Gladys Hamilton of Omaha, Neb. She is a graduate of Ottawa University and Creighton University School of Law and is employed as an attorney with Robertson, Monagle and Eastaugh.

The groom is the son of Margaret Heese and the late Arthur Heese of North Bend, Neb. He is a graduate of Arizona University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel. He is currently the manager for the Juneau Airport.

Maid of honor was Carol Hamilton and the bridesmaid Laurel Eriksen. The flower girl was Lily Baastrup.

Best man was Ralph Sanford and the groomsman Greg Heese. The ring bearer was Kris Baastrup. Pastor Steve Olmstead conducted the wedding.

The couple will make their home in Juneau.

Bischoff, Houston to wed


Lea Amber Houston and Ryan Kenneth Bischoff, both of Juneau, will marry in a ceremony at 6 p.m. Aug 14 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at 7:30 at Mike's Place. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to the wedding and reception.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Leo and Alyce Houston. She is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and is currently seeking a degree in elementary education.

The groom-elect is the son of Ken Bischoff and Linda Dapcevich. He is a graduate of JDHS and will be graduating from the Navy SEAL BUD/S training program in August.

The maid of honor is Linzy Houston, sister of the bride-elect. Flower girl will be Randy Held.

The best man will be Kyle Bischoff, brother of the groom-elect. Ring bearer will be Trevor Held.

The couple will make their home in San Diego.
