Thanks for the article on the visitor's center at Mendenhall Glacier. When I first moved to Juneau in 1969 my parents (Ruth and Roger Allington) took us kids to the visitor's center, and we discovered the small restaurant there. We became regular patrons there, and never left without having some pie! They had great burgers, too!
I never tired of the view from the windows looking out toward the glacier. Although I no longer live in Juneau, I have very fond memories of the magnificent scenery and wonderful people that call Juneau home.
