Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Peter Thomas Olmsted of Oregon was arrested at 5 a.m. Saturday near Gastineau Avenue on a charge of drunken driving. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
A 14-carat wedding ring valued at $1,550 was reported stolen in the downtown area at 7:18 p.m. Thursday.
Prescription drugs were reported stolen from a residence on Ridge Way at 8:15 p.m. Friday.
A black truck and blue Volkswagen were involved in an accident near Glacier Avenue and Highland Drive at 4:28 p.m. Thursday. Damage to the Volkswagen was estimated at $500.
At noon Friday near Glacier Highway and Vintage Boulevard a 1994 Chevy driven by a man, 70, struck a 1993 Ford driven by a man, 34. Each vehicle had about $4,000 in damage. The 70-year-old was cited for failure to yield.
An inflatable was reported slashed and a storage unit hasp had some of its screws removed near Decoy Boulevard at 2:57 p.m. Thursday. No entry into the storage shed was detected.
A lost wallet was found in the downtown area and turned into police at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Police received a call about a bear cub walking down Thunder Mountain Road at 2:03 p.m. Thursday. Thursday, police also received calls from the Foster Avenue area. At 10 :18 p.m., a bear was reported sitting on a lawn and eating something. At 11:07, a bear was reported walking through the area.
Thursday, a bear was reported eating burnt popcorn near Nowell Avenue at 12:23 a.m., and a bear was reported getting in garbage near North Douglas Highway at 2:47 a.m.
Friday, bears were reported at 2:30 p.m. near East Valley Court, 3 p.m. near East Valley Court, 4:30 p.m. near Egan Drive and the McNugget intersection, 9:10 p.m. near North Douglas Highway, and 9:20 p.m. near the Mendenhall Glacier.
Saturday, bears were reported at 12:15 a.m. near Coogan Drive, 3:30 a.m. near Gull Way, 4:45 a.m. near Brittany Place, 8:30 a.m. near Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area, and 9:30 a.m. near Delta Drive.
A man, 38, was arrested at 6 p.m. Friday near Glacier Highway on charges of violating the conditions of his release, resisting arrest and filing a false report. He was lodged at the state prison.
A man, 18, was arrested for being a minor on licensed premises at 12:50 a.m. Saturday near Glacier Highway. He was lodged at the state prison.
