The Southeast Alaska State Fair, which took place July 26-29 in Haines, provides a showcase for agricultural and domestic arts, creative arts and crafts and the opportunity for educational, cross-cultural and social exchange. This year's theme was "A Fair for All."
Included this year, was entertainment by various groups and individuals: Haines DDF, Carl Reese, Potlatch Band, Missed by a Long Shot, Men of Note, Art Johns and Friends, Randy McDonald Band, Fishpickers, Deering and Down, Haines Children Theater Conservatory, Nicole Edwards and Dan Rowe, Yees Ku Oo, Burl Sheldon, the Juneau Jumpers, the Clumsy Lovers, Daniel Forlano, Silver Jackson, Sweet Sunny North, Milo Matthews, Eternal Flame Dancers, Nuclear Elvis, Allen Cote, Flattlands, Bluegrass 101, the Gourds, Brenda Berezan, BRAVEMonkey, Marijke Jane, Kris and Lindy, Clambone, etc.

The fair included a variety of events, such as a kids tractor pull and fair, singer-songwriter competition, a fiddle contest, the Glorious Youth Parade, a salsa dance lesson and performance by Heather and Antonio, a most lovable dog contest, logging show, a 4-H horse show and open horse show, a zucchini contest, a men's and women's slow pitch softball tournament, a volleyball tournament, a disk golf tournament, Guy Hoffman horseshoe tournament and grand parade.
