Woman with special needs seeks lost cat

JUNEAU - A cat that is a companion for a Mendenhall Valley woman with special needs is missing.

Tigger, a long-haired orange cat, was lost about three weeks ago from the Coho Apartments off Mendenhall Loop Road, according to Stacey Morales, a Meals-on-Wheels driver. The cat doesn't have a collar and has had both sets of claws removed as not to hurt its owner, who is housebound and disabled.

"It's a very special cat," Morales said. "It's a therapy-type cat."

Anyone with information about Tigger is asked to call 790-4861.
