FAIRBANKS - A Fairbanks man has been charged with robbery after a woman claimed a man held a gun to her head to collect a $1,000 drug debt.
Police said 27-year-old Terry Choe faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on the charge.
The woman, who was not identified, told Alaska State Troopers that a man she knew only as Terry threatened her if she did not give him the money owed to him by a third party.
The woman later met the man and gave him $100 but was unable to come up with the rest of the money. She contacted troopers after the man kept sending her text messages threatening her family.
Police arranged for her to meet the man with $1,000 in marked money, and Choe was arrested a short time later.
