Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Juneau resident Barrington Smith, 50, was arrested at 5:58 p.m. Sunday on a drunken driving charge on West Willoughby Ave. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and his vehicle was impounded.
Non-Juneau resident Kath-ryn Coleman, 18, was arrested for drunken driving at 12:38 a.m. Monday and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Between 7:46 and 9:32 a.m. Monday, three people reported items taken out of their vehicles, parked overnight on Douglas Island. A pair of prescription sunglasses and compact discs were reported stolen from a vehicle on Nowell Avenue. Eight compact discs and a vial of gold flakes were reported stolen from a vehicle on Fairbanks Street. A pair of prescription sunglasses was reported stolen from a vehicle on Peters Lane. Another vehicle on Peters Lane was reportedly rifled through. None of the vehicles were reported as locked.
A motorist called police at 9:09 a.m. Monday to report backing into a 1991 Buick Century while backing out of a parking lot on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.
Police learned at 7:42 a.m. Monday that a soccer goal was cut and a handicapped rail was damaged during the weekend near Mendenhall Loop Road.
A black wallet was found and turned into police in the area of the Port of Juneau at 8:29 p.m. Sunday. The wallet was returned to the owner.
Bears were reported near Kimberly Street at 3:06 p.m. and 5:55 p.m. Sunday. Bears were reported getting into trash in the area of Glacier Highway at 5:03 p.m. and 9:42 p.m. Sunday. Also Sunday, bears were reported near Stikine Street at 10:30 p.m. A bear was seen near Mendenhall Loop Road between Cinema Drive and Stephen Richards Memorial Drive at 11:46 p.m. Sunday. On Monday, a bear was reported in a dumpster near La Perouse Avenue at 12:27 a.m., and a bear was reported near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek at 2:43 a.m.
A man reported the theft of a green gym bag and clothing from an unlocked locker in the area of Riverside Drive at 4:19 p.m. Sunday.
A raw ivory tusk valued at $250 was reported stolen in the area of North Franklin Street at 7:32 a.m. Monday.
Juneau Police impounded a vehicle driven by a 39-year-old man after citing him for driving with a revoked driver's license.
