Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A backpack holding a cellular telephone and $100 was reported stolen at 9:01 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Front Street downtown.

Vehicle accident:

• Police cited a woman, 34, on a charge of failing to yield after an accident at 5:28 p.m. Wednesday involving the 1999 Toyota she was driving and a 1997 Dodge, driven by a boy, 17, on 10th Street near Egan Drive downtown. Damage was estimated at $4,000 to the Toyota and $3,000 to the Dodge.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday in the yard of a home in the 6300 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.
