Tim Miller of Miller Construction scoops up dirt and tree branches and loads it into a dump truck at the new Steelhead Road extension off Back Loop Road in the Mendenhall Valley.
UPDATE 08/07/2005: Although the road extension originally was
to connect two neighborhoods, the plan was changed. The 1,000-foot extension
of Steelhead has no connection to Kelly Court, except for a trail for pedestrians only.
The trail is for emergency access only and will not be paved, according to Lowpete Construction.
