Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


A man, 41, was arrested at 7:09 a.m. Sunday for domestic violence assault in West Juneau. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A man reported at 1:32 p.m. Sunday near Gastineau Avenue two stolen hammers and a razor knife. The property is valued at $15.

Police reported at 2:42 on Sunday near Mendenhall Loop Road the theft of a men's blue Diamondback 18-speed bicycle.

Bears were reported at 10:39 a.m. Sunday at Tongass Boulevard, 6:54 p.m. Sunday near Forest Lane, 10:35 p.m. Sunday near Sierra Street, 10:49 p.m. Sunday near Northwood Drive, 10:54 p.m. Sunday near Dock Street, 11:21 p.m. Sunday near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive, 11:47 p.m. Sunday near Douglas Highway, 12:05 a.m. today near Delta Drive, 4:02 a.m. today in the Sealaska Plaza parking lot, and 4:52 a.m. today near Delta Drive.


State troopers reported at 6:28 p.m. Saturday, in Security Cove off of Dall Island a Juneau man, 25, amputated a thumb while working aboard a fishing vessel. He was picked up by helicopter and taken to Ketchikan General Hospital.

A man, 45, was found at about 2 p.m. Saturday in a residence near 14 Mile Glacier Highway. Police and fire and rescue responded to the scene and found the man dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police are investigating.

Police arrested a man, 47, at 11:45 p.m. Sunday near Chinook Apartments for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was arrested while the police were investigating a noise complaint. He was lodged at the state prison.
