The Juneau Soccer Club Rapids, an Under-12 boys team, advanced to the semifinals of the Zane Cup in Anchorage on Saturday by winning two of its first three games.

Juneau fell to undefeated AYSC 95 by a 5-2 margin on Saturday. Earlier that day, Juneau routed Chugiak Soccer Club Hurricanes 7-0.
Jackson Lehnhart, Leo Steedle and Adam Eberhardt combined for all seven goals in the win while goalkeepers Zach Miller and Kevin Sigler preserved the shutout.
Juneau opened tournament play Friday with a 4-2 win over the Cook Inlet Soccer Club Velocity Red.
Lehnhart scored a hat trick and Steedle added a goal and an assist in the win while Miller and Sigler split time in goal for the Rapids.
The Rapids take on the undefeated CISC Velocity Blue at 9:30 a.m. today.
