Too much mud and dirt on Juneau roads

Posted: Monday, August 06, 2007

Am I the only Juneau citizen who is outraged at all the mud and dirt on the roads around the Lemon Creek area? Why are we all being forced to drive on muddy, dirty public roads?

Sound off on the important issues at

Where is the government that should be protecting those public roads? Why are the government agencies in charge not requiring all of those big dump trucks to drive through a truck bath before entering a public roadway? You would think that would be the easy answer.

One trip to Costco or Home Depot makes your car look like you've been off-road racing, driving the Alcan Highway or something. I don't know about the rest of my fellow Juneau citizens, but I find this unacceptable.
