Plane crash-lands in Kuskokwim River
ANCHORAGE - Eight people are safely on the ground after a commercial plane crash-landed into the Kuskokwim River shortly after takeoff.
Alaska State Troopers said the Frontier Flying Service plane came to rest at the edge of an island in the river Monday.
Troopers said witnesses transported the occupants of the plane in a boat across the river.
Those on board were treated for apparently minor injuries at the Aniak clinic.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
