Anchorage man drowns in Wasilla

ANCHORAGE - An Anchorage man who was swimming with friends in a Wasilla lake early Wednesday struggled and drowned before they could help him.
Alaska State Troopers say the body of 25-year-old Melvin Watkins was recovered after 5 a.m. by divers in the unnamed lake near Lake Beth.
KTUU reports troopers do not suspect a crime in the death.
