Juneau police, fire officials, hospital officials and state troopers reported:


At about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, a man, 53, reported that a stereo had been stolen from his unlocked truck on Fritz Cove Road. The man said the theft had occurred overnight.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, a man, 18, reported two tool cases had been stolen from his Fritz Cove Road garage.

Vehicle accidents:

At about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, a woman, 46, reported her daughter had been in an accident the previous night near Thane. The daughter, 17, was cited for not reporting the accident, during which her vehicle rolled over. There was no estimate of the damage sustained by the vehicle.

Shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday, a girl, 17, was cited for driving without a seat belt and for tailgating following a two-car accident near the intersection of Taku Boulevard and Mendenhall Loop Road. There was no estimate of the cost to repair the girl's Honda Civic or the Ford Bronco, driven by a 38-year-old woman, that was struck. The 38-year-old, and a 16-year-old girl who was also in the Bronco, were taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital. They were treated and released.

Animal encounters:

At about 9:30 a.m. Saturday, residents of Evergreen Street reported a bear was eating garbage from a garbage can. The bear was not being aggressive toward humans.

Underage drinking:

At about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a 14-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man were cited for underage drinking at Cope Park. The girl was released to her mother.

Shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, police cited a man, 19, for underage drinking at a South Franklin Street business.


At about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, a man, 24, was arrested for trespassing at the Juneau Airport. About five hours later, the man returned to the airport, was arrested again, and was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
