KETCHIKAN - Ketchikan police say a young man tried to rob a 66-year-old driver at gunpoint this week, but the older man grabbed the gun away.
Police Chief Ed Talik said the motorist was near an intersection when the armed man demanded money. The suspect, believed to be in his 20s, ran toward The Plaza mall after failing to rob the older man.
Talik described the suspect as short with a thin build, blond hair, white T-shirt, blue shorts and black shoes. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ketchikan police.
The victim was shaken, but not hurt.
