Juneau police, fire officials, U.S. Coast Guard and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

About 1:30 a.m. today, Jacalyn Kane, 49, was arrested on Ferry Way for drunken driving. She was additionally charged with refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. She was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts, lost/found items:

About 10 a.m. Monday, a man, 29, reported that his Washburn guitar had been stolen from a vehicle parked near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. There were neither leads nor suspects.

About 3:30 p.m. Monday, a woman, 34, reported to police that her son's bicycle was stolen last week from outside her residence on Turn Street. There were neither leads nor suspects.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, a woman, 50, reported the theft of two chain saws, a 2.5-gallon plastic gas can and a one-gallon barrel of oil after her son left the items unattended at a Mendenhall Valley service station. Total value of the missing items was $845. There were neither leads nor suspects.

Assault:

About 5:30 p.m. Monday, a boy, 12, was placed under citizen's arrest at Cornerstone for assaulting a boy, 10. Police transported him to and lodged him at the Johnson Youth Center.

Hit-and-runs:

About 8:30 a.m. Monday, a parked 1992 Chevy Lumina owned by a woman, 45, was hit by a driver who left near the intersection of Third and Main Streets. Police cited a man, 21, for driving without a license and for failure to give immediate notice of a traffic accident. Each vehicle suffered about $1,000 damage.

About 1 p.m. Monday, a woman, 39, reported the vehicle she had been driving was the victim of a hit-and-run at the Airport Shopping Center parking lot. The vehicle sustained scratches. There were neither leads nor suspects.

Vandalism:

Shortly before 8 a.m. today, a woman, 36, reported the gasoline tank for her vehicle was punctured in Gruening Park some time on Friday night.

Animal encounters:

Shortly before 6 a.m. today, a man, 28, reported from Gastineau Avenue that a bear is repeatedly returning to the area to get into garbage. The bear is not being aggressive.

Warrant arrests:

About 2:15 p.m. Monday, a man, 38, was arrested on South Franklin Street on two outstanding JPD warrants. One, involving $1,000 bail, was issued for failure to appear. The second, involving $275 bail, was also issued for failure to appear. The man was lodged at state prison.

Other:

Sunday morning, a law enforcement boarding team from Coast Guard Station Juneau terminated the voyages of two small vessels for insufficient safety equipment. Both vessels were stopped for failing to equip with fire extinguishers, enough personal flotation devices for passengers on board and visual distress signals. The boats were escorted to Auke Bay.
