In the Sunday Empire article on the repatriation of Angoon artifacts, there were several reporter errors. Joe Bennett Sr. should have been identified as chief of the Deisheetan Raven House, the host of the welcoming ceremony. Rather than a ``clan elder,'' Cyril George is more properly identified as chief of the Basket Bay Arch House. June Pegues and Lucy DeAsis are opposites from the Eagle clan who were carrying out traditional Tlingit protocol.

Due to incomplete information given the Empire, the article said the artifacts were repatriated from a Smithsonian-affiliated New York City museum. They had, in fact, been transferred to Washington, D.C., by the time they were repatriated to Alaska.
