...for Princess Tours' help

I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Kirby Day of Princess Tours since 1993.

In that first year I was working for the school district at the high school. I approached Kirby about providing transportation for a field trip (well, it was actually senior sneak day, shhhh!) and Kirby gladly provided a bus and driver to transport the seniors out to Sandy Beach, at no expense to the district. In the years since then Princess buses have transported many kids to symphony concerts, on field trips and to other local events.

Most recently Kirby provided a Princess vehicle to help us move the instruments and equipment needed so that the Juneau Volunteer Marching Band could perform our annual Fourth of July concerts at Marine Park. And this during the busiest time of the year for Princess.

The next time you get stuck behind that big old Princess bus remember, it may be transporting your kids to a concert, on a field trip or to the big game. Many thanks to Kirby Day and Princess Tours for their support of local organizations and events.

...for support for Catherine

On behalf of my daughter and my family, I wish to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone. Thank you for your prayers, moral and monetary support for helping us go to Seattle so that Catherine L. Johnson can have her pacemaker evaluation and heart murmur surgery.

A special thank you to all of the individuals who also came forth to help us in our time of need. Finally I want to thank all of the SEARHC and Seattle's Chidren's Center Medical staff and personnel who have been treating this condition. If it weren't for everyone's prayers, support and donations, we would not have been able to make it through this crisis. Our efforts raised enough to help us with our room and board while in Seattle. It has been less than month since we came back from Seattle and my daughter is doing fine. If there are questions regarding my daughter's condition, you can call 364-2583 and leave a message or e-mail me at jsjmj1@uas.alaska.edu and I will respond promptly. As time grows closer for our next trip I will inform everyone when the time will be and be doing more fund raising efforts.

Thank you everyone one for your help.
