Former Juneau resident Sylvia Dahl Watkins, 83, died Aug. 2, 2006, at Rosario Assisted Living in Anacortes, Wash.

She was born on June 11, 1923, in Donaldson, Minn. She married Harry Watkins in 1942. They lived in Juneau from 1947 to the mid-50s, while he was a pilot for Dean Goodwin; then in Seattle for many years, while Harry was a pilot for United Air; then later in Anacortes.
Family members said her life was spent as a devoted homemaker. She was a "beloved wife, mother and grandmother," they said.
She is survived by her husband Harry Watkins, of Anacortes; son, Clyde Watkins and his wife, Bobette, of Seattle; and grandson, Peter Watkins, of Seattle.
