The Conference Board, a non-profit business research organization, revealed in its Help-Wanted OnLine Data Series that 2 million first-time want ads were posted to Internet job boards in June. This figure is up from 1.8 million new postings in April. New England leads the national average of 1.39 new advertised jobs for every 100 people in the labor force, with two new jobs listed for every 100 people in the labor force. The weakest link to new job postings, with less than one in 100, is the West South Central Region, including Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
