TENAKEE - In honor of the service of the Alaska Marine Highway System, the city of Tenakee Springs invites the public to its Ferry Appreciation Day from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Tenakee.
The MV LeConte will conduct a special trip, leaving from 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Auke Bay Ferry Terminal. The ferry will go directly to Tenakee, arriving at noon, and leave at 3 p.m., arriving back in Juneau at 8 p.m. Round-trip is $50.
Potluck and festivities will give both men and women a chance to take a hot springs mineral bath, so attendees should bring a towel. For more information, call AMHS reservations at 465-3941.
